In 2025, we decided to introduce the BFMF Hall of Fame. This will be an award to individuals who with their hard work and dedication, have left a lasting impression on making the festival such a success. They will be inducted by current or past committee members.

This year's inductees are:

WILL JENKINS

Will was part of the festival for 19 years, from it's early days in 2002/3 through to 2021, moving from stage building to leading health and safety and site management. He created and refined the on-site bar, now a vital income stream, to keep the festival free.

A true festival legend - main-stage musician, penny-farthing crasher, and famously the last man standing.

CAROLINE DUBBER

The idea for a live jazz session on Hurst Green began with her, originally for her then‑husband Alan who loved jazz. Together we developed it into a Sunday jazz and original‑artist concert following the Saturday BFMF at the Prom, running for two years before becoming part of the main festival.

It then moved fully to Hurst Green, evolving into a three‑day programme.

NICK OLIVER

This year’s posthumous inductee, Nick Olver, provided sound engineering and technical support to the Festival for more than 15 years. His skill, dedication, and calm professionalism made him an essential part of the Festival’s success, and his contribution will always be remembered.

JOHN STANNARD

John was the founder Chairman who helped start the Festival off in 2001. He was chairman from 2001 until 2004.

This year is the 25th Anniversary of the Festival and the committee have decided to introduce the BFMF Hall of Fame. MICK BARRY

Who was Musical Director of the festival from 2001 - 2021. 

With 20 years of service, he was always a fierce defender of the Festival being a stage for original music.

CHRIS WEST

Chris a well-known sound engineer and producer in the music industry.

He was chairman from 2008-2010 and was instrumental in the move from the Prom to Hurst Green.
